Zarin Cream is indicated for the topical treatment of skin infections due to susceptible fungi (dermatophytes and yeasts) such as:

• Tinea pedis (athlete's foot)
• Tinea cruris
• Tinea corporis (ringworm)

• Tinea versicolor (white spots)
• Candidiasis

Ingredients:

Miconazole Nitrate 2% w/w in a non-greasy, non-staining cream base, Benzoic Acid 0.15% w/w as preservative

• Apply a thin layer of Zarin sufficient to cover the affected areas
• Rub well into the skin until the cream has been completely absorbed
• Apply Zarin once or twice a day, in the morning and evening, and continue without interruption until the symptoms have completely disappeared

• Resolution of fungal infection usually takes 2-5 weeks depending on the infecting organism and the site of infection

Side Effects:

• Zarin is usually well tolerated
• However, local irritation and sensitivity reactions may occasionally occur

Precaution:

• Discontinue treatment if sensitisation or irritation occurs during use
• Do not use in the eyes
• It is advisable to consult a doctor if no improvement is observed in 4 weeks in the case of "athlete's foot" or 2 weeks in "jock itch“

Contraindications:

• Zarin is contraindicated in patients known to be hypersensitive to imidazole antifungal agents or any components of the medication
• Do not use on children under 2 years of age, except under the advice and supervision of a doctor
